
EGYPT: THE REALM OF THE KAOU
On the night
of the New Moon, the darkest night of the month,
cosmic conditions are more
favorable to conscious exteriorization of the KA
and the birth of Invisible
Assistants.
On the night of the New
Moon, Candidates may come to the Doors of the Temple.
They should stand before
the Masters with "their heart on their palm".
Their server is ANUBIS, Guide
of the Paths and Conductor of Souls and Mysts.
It is the KA which decides on the development of the Ego.
It prompts meetings
and premonitory dreams and propels the Candidate
towards the Way of the beginning
leading to Initiation.
On the night of the New Moon, the Candidate,
if
he is accepted by the Council of Seven and An-Nu PTAHMOSE,
is put on probation.
A Guide or Instructor will be there to welcome him,
initiate him and awaken him to a different plane.
Dreams
are one of the possible ways of spiritual development.
Dreams are recollections
of exteriorization of the KA into an environment
which can be physical or
astral.
In this kind of psychic development, the pupil is educated by the
Instructor
to become ever more aware of what he sees in the astral environment.
This slow nocturnal psychic development,
parallel to development in the waking state,
is perceived by the beginner
as a transformation of his dreams.
Whereas formerly he saw his dreams as incoherent,
now he often remembers having had dreams which were logical.
He recalls faces,
words, the vision of the Lodge and the Instructor.
These artificial dreams,
created by the priests of THOTH
around the sleeper exteriorized in the astral
world beside his physical body,
are replaced by a real life of his KA,
exteriorized far from his physical body in a parallel Egypt - the Egypt of KAOUS.
Training is necessary to attain this result on the night of the New Moon.
We advise the following exercise:
Every evening before going to bed, pronounce
the invocation to Neters to dream awake
and remember the instructions your
Instructor gave you (telepathy between KA and KA).

INVOCATION TO NETERS
"In
Thee, O Divine and Protective SEKHMET,

to place myself under the influence of APOPIS,

The following exercise is used to obtain a kind of waking dream,
dreamlike
images, in a state of pre-sleep.
It is about images similar to the dream and
which appear in the waking state.
You go to bed after the invocation to Neters.
Once abed, with the light out, you prepare to sleep.
If you are very tired,
sleep comes;
but there are times when it takes a while to fall asleep.
When this happens, you usually start thinking,
reliving the events of day
and forming projects or finding solutions.
The course of your mental process,
until then a voluntary one,
is gradually averted and you begin thinking about
things unconnected
with the reflections you began with.
These
thoughts arise involuntarily, passively, in the form of more or less clear images.
The practical work we ask you to do is both simple and difficult.
It
is simple because it involves allowing yourself to be passively absorbed
by
this disjointed daydreaming.
It will be difficult because we ask you to try
and obtain two states of consciousness at the same time:
1) Drowsiness or
the threshold of sleep.
2) Fully conscious wakefulness.
This
is quite possible:
while in contact with the Instructor,
Images arise
mostly in an intermediate state between waking and sleep.
Lying
down, with the light out,
choose your position with the firm intention to
fall sleep at once;
this is most important.
Then, allow yourself to daydream
as usual but (and herein lies the whole secret) with:
1) High alertness,
a definite intention not to sleep, unlike the decision you began with.
2)
A careful examination of the images which appear to clarify them in detail,
as though they were real images (seen with the eyes).
Only regular training will enable you to find this special state
of half-sleep
full of "colorful dreams" shown by your Instructor.
When the time comes you will feel the presence of your Guide.
His KA will
place itself just beside you,
it will merge at the level of your head, interpenetrating
it.
From there on, the Instructor will create wonderful Images before you
in the Astral.

1) Dromos: The Khat.

For
their first pictures, Beginners often see the path of the Sphinxes.
They have
the impression of advancing on the Dromos,
between the two rows of Sphinxes.
Some can see An-Nu PTAHMOSE coming to meet them.
An-Nu represents the Sages
of the Earth of KHEM,
the Venerable Masters of Ancient Egypt.
The Postulant
should answer without hesitation the questions asked him by An-Nu,
before
he moves on to the Door of the Mysteries which,
if it opens for him, will
lead him to the Temple of PTAH.
2) Colossi : The Ren

Others
will see SEKHMET, the Lion-Goddess of MEMPHIS,
who denies the uninitiated
access to the Temple.
This means that they are
not psychologically ready for Initiation,
(their psychical development obviously
being unsuitable).
They will not be able to walk past the incorruptible Guardians
of the Temple.
SEKHMET probes the Neophyte before Her to bring to the surface
the Shadow KHAÏBIT, the instinctive, emotional body.

4) Great Court : The Ka

5) Hypostyle Hall : The Ab

6) Pronaos : The Ba

7) Naos : The Akh

8) Neter in the Naos : The Sa-Hu.
